Elevator Button More Dirty than Toilet Seat

Known, that the bad bacteria in the elevator button 40 times more than the toilet seat. Through studies that examine the various hotels, restaurants, offices and airports, there were 313 colonies of bacteria on every square centimeter surface elevator button.

Meanwhile, on the average toilet seat there are only eight units. The bacteria found in the experts there are on the surface of the elevator button usually in the form of E coli.

Nicholas Moon of Microban Europe that perform research for the University of Arizona in the United States says, "In a building filled with many people, will certainly pressed the elevator button more people who previously would make contact with various bacteria each hour." In previous research, also discovered that the desk contains 400 times more bacteria than the toilet seat and the keyboard contains four times more bacteria.

On the other hand, Professor Hugh Pennington, a leading microbiologist from England expressed, "Just because the elevator button contains many bacteria that does not mean your health is threatened." according to him, the best way to protect yourself ie wash hands before eating or before handling food.
