Daydreaming Can Eliminate Your Memory

Everyone must have been daydreaming and fantasizing about the future or something that is beautiful. Do mostly because daydreaming daydreaming can make people lose some of its memory.

Have you had difficulty remembering events before you daydream? If so, then it is normal.

Recent research has found that while daydreaming or mind to pensive everywhere, can cause partial loss of memory, especially memory before one starts to daydream. The farther your mind drift while daydreaming, it will be more severe memory loss.

Previous studies also found that thinking about something else, either daydreaming or mind wandering (mind-wandering), can block access to the memories or the memories of the past.

In the new study, scientists investigated several participants. Participants were divided into two groups.

The first group was asked to see the list of words that appear on a computer screen, one by one. Then participants were asked to daydreaming, thinking about events that interest him. Furthermore, both groups of participants were only asked to see a list of words, without daydreaming.

At the end of the test, both groups of participants were asked to recall as many words what he saw from the list.

The result, the group was asked to daydream just tie a few words in comparison with the group who did not daydream. This suggests that daydreaming can eliminate most of the newly acquired memory.

This study has been published in Psychological Science, a journal of the Association for Psychological Science.

"Daydreaming can make you feel in different situations, because you can not remember events that happened before you daydream," said Peter F. Delaney of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, as reported from Psychcentral, Friday (30/07/2010)

Why The rain Can Make You Sick?

Actually that makes us feel sick is because of differences in temperature in our body. If we are rained on, for example, a rain head so the head will be colder than the rest of the body. Then we will feel there is a "disorder" in our heads. We then say "our heads dizzy."

Likewise if we continue to scruff the wind, for example, fit again sitting near the window, we'll feel any abnormalities in our neck. But if the rain throughout our body, we really will not hurt.

Because all of our body have the same temperature. Especially when we play, our body will expend energy that is converted into heat. With our body temperature so that heat can ward off the cold temperatures caused by pouring rain.

Thus encouraged, if we're after rain washed, should we warm bath, so we quickly returned to normal temperature.

Low air pressure such as rain, clouds and high humidity proved to be a trigger headaches in children. The reduced air pressure has come down the immune though the exact cause is unknown.

In one study, researchers recruited 25 children and adolescents who have a history of migraine and chronic headaches. Researchers found that children tended more often of headaches when the weather is wet or the humidity is higher than usual.

Participants who participated in this study is almost three times more likely to suffer from headaches when the weather is rainy or high humidity conditions than when the air is dry.

In the study, researchers gave children a handheld computer that can record headache symptoms for two weeks. Later researchers compared that information with weather conditions that existed at the time.

The study, led by Dr. Mark Connely from Children's Mercy Hospital and Clinics in Kansas City, Missouri complements previous studies using less precise methods. The results of this study are reported in the journal Headache.

Overall results obtained during the rainy period the children likely to suffer from symptoms of headaches by 59 percent compared to the dry weather that only 21 percent.

While in high humidity conditions in the above-average likelihood of headaches by 58 percent compared to normal when humidity is only 22 percent.

Method True Hand Washing

Proper hand washing should use soap and under running water. While the measures proper hand washing techniques are as follows.
  • Wet hands with water under a faucet or running water.
  • Take enough liquid soap to the entire hand. It would be better if the soap contains antiseptic.
  • Rub your palms together.
  • Rub down to the fingertips.
  • The palm of the hand rubs the back of his left hand (or vice versa) with the fingers interlocked (alternating) between right and left hand. Rub it between your fingers. Do the opposite.
  • Put one finger backs with the back fingers and interlock.
  • Rub the right thumb with left palm with a rotary motion. Do the same with the left thumb.
  • Rub your palms with the back of the fingers of one hand with the movement forward, backward and turning. Do the opposite.
  • Hold your right wrist with his left hand and do the twist. Do the same for the left hand.
  • Clean your hands with soap from flowing water.
  • Dry hands using a tissue and when using the faucet, close the faucet with a tissue.

Drying with a tissue better than dry hands using a hand dryer is common in the mall. Because a hand dryer that is used in general to accommodate lots of bacteria that can infect other people.

Do not Drink Tea Packaging, why?

If you want to get the maximum benefits of tea, choose a tea brewed with warm water instead of bottled ready to drink tea. According to research presented at the National Meeting of the American Chemical Society, instant tea contains antioxidants and polyphenols levels are very low.

"Consumers actually understand the concept of the benefits of drinking tea and eating other tea products. But here was the perception that large distances between healthy eating tea with the exact amount of nutrients in the tea ready to drink," said one researcher, Shiming Li, PhD, as quoted from NY Daily News.

Actually, lack of ready to drink tea not only because of very low nutrient levels, but also a very high sugar content. The team of researchers find out by measuring the levels of tea polyphenols on the six brands in the market.

Half of the brands are known to virtually no antioxidant and polyphenol content is very small. Tea is packed in bags usually contain 175 milligrams of polyphenols, two times greater than the tea ready to drink.

The reason why the nutritional content of tea ready to drink very little was quite a dilemma. According to Li, the company deliberately reduce levels of polyphenols in tea packaging in order to win the market. Therefore, the main nutrients in tea that gives the effect of the bitter taste that is not preferred by consumers.

Burger Eating Too Many Asthma Risk

PARIS - Burger was delicious, especially with a solid content of different toppings and sauce is thick. However, it should not be too often. In addition to risk of clogged arteries, a study to prove, burgers can increase the risk of asthma and shortness of breath, especially in children.

Conversely, in the same study led Gabriele Nagel from Ulm University in Germany, the Mediterranean diet - which is laden fruit, vegetables, and fish - although fatty foods, can help avoid asthma-related breathing problems. Research results published in the British Medical Journal.

Asthma is the most common chronic disease in children. The disease is often triggered by dust and allergies. Symptoms include heavy breathing and it usually sounds, chest pain, and respiratory tract to contract. Around the world, this disease affects about 300 million people and killed about 250 thousand per year, according to World Health Organization (WHO). For reasons that are still poorly understood, asthma has increased over the last 25 years, particularly in rich countries.

To assess the extent to which diet can be a factor for asthma, researchers led by Gabriele Nagel at Ulm University in Germany studied the health data at 50. thousand children aged eight to 12 years, collected between 1995 and 2005 from 20 rich and poor countries around the world. Parents are asked to describe what their children eat, and whether they had ever diagnosed asthma or severe shortness of breath.

Nearly 30 thousand of the children tested to see whether food and beverages have opportunities to develop allergies in the body. Diet did not appear to increase the sensitivity to common allergens, but it was correlated with the prevalence of asthma and wheezing.

And, this is it, boy-child who ate three or more hamburgers a week along with soft drinks to face a higher risk significantly. However, Nagel said, cannot call a burger as the sole and direct cause of the disease, due to lifestyle factors also contribute to its development. "This would explain why the burgers in poor countries not associated with the same level of risk," he said.

Increase your brain's performance.

Our brain is a supercomputer weighing 1.5 kg. As a control center that controls your life, the brain is what determines how you think and interact with others. Your brain is much more complicated than any computer with a 100 million billion brain cells that are interconnected with one another.

Optimizing brain function is a must if you want to unleash the potential of yourself as much as possible. And while you are exercising or doing yoga to maintain body condition, often mental exercises to be forgotten. Whatever your age, mental exercise has a positive effect on your brain and globally. And here's 22 ways to do it:

1. Run for Brain Cells
The researchers say that people who do a lot of physical exercise may have a better brain. Researchers at the Salk Institute found that mice like to run on exercise wheels growth of new cells twice as much on the brain region of memory and learning. Researchers are not sure of the cause but it is likely that this is due to the physical exercise that is not imposed. Which means, by finding ways to enjoy the sport rather than forced to do so can make you smarter too. So do sports that you enjoy doing, go jogging with music or fitness with your friends for over refreshing your brain.

2. Trying New Things
Experts neurobiology from Duke University, Professor Lawrence C. Katz, Ph.D. says that finding new ways of thinking and trying new things can enhance the function of brain regions that are less active. In essence, try to do anything that can get you out of your habitual ways of thinking during this time, for example, trying a variety of new dishes, go to the office through another road, visiting new places or trying to make a work of art.

3. Ask
Familiarize yourself to always want to know! Ask yourself and others around you about various things. Get used to ask "why?" at least 10 times a day. Your brain becomes trained and the opportunities and solutions will appear in your life.

4. Laugh
Researchers say that laughter is good for health. No researcher should tell, a lifetime we've felt the benefits of laughter can reduce stress and mental pressure. So "laughed before laughing is forbidden!"

5. Become Lovers Fish
Omega-3 which are found mainly in fish has long been known good for the heart. But recent research reveals that omega-3 is also good for the brain because they help the circulation system that pumps oxygen into your head and improve the functioning of the cell membrane that surrounds the brain. People who consume lots of fish or omega-3 may have a mental condition and intelligence of a better and more resistant to depression. Eating fish dishes such as salmon, sardines, mackerel, and tuna at least 3 times a week is a good start.

6. Digging Memories
Look back at old photo albums or your school yearbook. Your brain is a memory machine, so let him work so as not to rust.

7. Reduce Fat
Fat can reduce the flow of oxygenated blood to your brain and inhibit the metabolism of glucose which is the "food" for the brain. You still can get 30% of your daily caloric needs in the form of fat and stay away from snack foods that contain lots of fat.

8. Play Puzzle
Completing the puzzle in his spare time is a good way to train your brain and maintain its condition. It does not matter whether it's crossword puzzles, jigsaw or game logic. But do it by realizing that the puzzle is just a game for fun.

9. Mozart Effect
Frances Rauscher a psychologist at the University of Wisconsin found that listening to Mozart can improve mathematical skills and one's space. But the need is commemorated that not everyone is experiencing this Mozart effect. And some experts also say that this is because music can make people who hear it feel comfortable and relaxed and a similar stimulation can also produce the same effect. In fact, one study found that by listening to the story, then our brains will also be growing.

10. Improve Skills
Some mental stimulation is repeated is actually good for your brain as long as you keep improving your skills and knowledge base. Everyday activities such as gardening, sewing, reading, do crossword puzzles can be useful for your brain health as long as you push yourself to continue to do so at different rates. Eg sewing with a pattern that is more difficult to paint with a more difficult technique, or doing crossword puzzles are bigger and harder.

11. Stay away from Alcohol
Research on rats found that alcohol is not only destructive but also prevent the brain to recover. A study of 3500 men in Japan found that those who drank regularly (about once a day) will have better cognitive function when they get older compared with those who did not drink at all. But anyway, if you drink more than the normal limit the ability of your memory and reaction will decrease.

12. Play
Take your time to play. It does not matter whether it's card games, video games, monopoly or even a tug of war. Play very good for your soul and brain. By playing then your brain will be given the opportunity to think strategically.

13. Things To Do Before Sleep
See or read the important stuff (only if the information is not going to disturb your sleep) before you sleep can help improve your memory of these things by 20-30%. Conversely, if you cannot sleep because of something bothering your mind, you can "remove" from your mind by writing it on a sheet of paper. So always be prepared pen and paper beside your bed.

14. Concentration
Concentration can increase brainpower. Of course you know about this, but you may not realize is the things that can disrupt your concentration. Suppose you want to call someone since this morning, if this is not you do it will distract you for a day of activity, even when you do not realize it. Get used to pause and ask "What is there in my mind right now?". Remember and deal with it. For the example above, immediately call the person or enter into tomorrow's agenda, so that you can think clearly and relax.

15. Just for Couple
For those of you who are married, according to a study Winnifred B. Cutler, PhD and colleagues at the University of Pennsylvania, having sex is one key to maintaining brain health. Intimacy and emotional bonding that occurs during sex can release negative feelings such as anger and disappointment from your mind. As for the wives, estrogen levels will increase and the increased levels of estrogen also increases the overall brain activity and improve memory.

16. Play and Work
Without the personal satisfaction, then you cannot do anything with maximal When a person develops through learning and creativity, he was more excited and will give 127% ability to work. Recall what you like when you were little and apply it into your work. This is the key to the genius, talent and your talent. Da Vinci, Edison and Picasso are all playful and they love to explore.

17. Cycle Awareness
Your consciousness continues to cycle up and down in everyday life. Long cycle that occurs about 90 minutes with 30 minute duration when your consciousness is in a weak condition. Learn and know your cycle so you can focus on tasks that require full concentration when you're in a state of consciousness cycle of good and not weak.

18. Learn
Actually we are developing the potential of our brain when we use it to learn new things. Learn a new topic of your field of work or your hobbies. If there are currently no topics that catch your eye, try to learn a new word each day. Familiarize your mind to keep learning.

19. Writing To Read
Writing is one of the stimulants are good for your brain since writing can develop the capacity of your brain. Try to start by writing childhood stories or start your own blog or whatever as long as you write it in order to be read by others.

20. Aroma Therapy
Aroma therapy can help you to maintain concentration as well as calming the mind. Use at work to improve your performance but not before making sure first there who are allergic to.

21. Increase Brain Power
Coffee and other beverages that contain caffeine can help students achieve high scores on the exam. But caffeine is actually impede blood flow to the brain and have other negative effects. Therefore replace the coffee or tea with ginkgo biloba gotu kola. Ginkgo biloba has been proven to improve concentration and blood flow to the brain and

22. Build a Community
Get to know people in different places to find new opportunities and solutions to your problems. Surround yourself with people from various fields who encourage you to go ahead so that your creativity will continue to grow.
